I believe in a holistic approach to the practice of law. I recognize that you are MORE than just a case.  I get to know you, as a person, to ensure that you goals are being met.  I do this because of where I came from.

I grew up in a poverty-stricken rural community.  I am the first male in my family's history to graduate from high school.  I am the first person in my family to graduate from college.   I attended college and law school using the GI Bill.  I also worked during law school while raising a young son.  I have earned everything I have and, as a result I know the value of a dollar.

I began my career in law enforcement in 1990.   I served in law enforcement positions in California and Virginia.  I received advanced training in the field of DUI and Drug Interdiction.  I received advanced training in Field Sobriety Testing and Breathalyzer Administration.

I began my legal career with the Appellate Division of the Cumberland County District Attorney’s Office in 2004.  I was responsible for drafting the Commonwealth’s briefs in a number of cases dealing with changes to DUI laws.  I am among the most well versed attorneys in this specialized area of law. My Appellate experience allowed me to transition to the Appellate Division of the Las Vegas, Nevada District Attorney’s Office.  While there, I was primarily responsible for Death Penalty appeals.  In addition, I worked on a number of high profile homicide cases in conjunction with the Major Crimes Unit.

I returned to Pennsylvania as a member of the Lancaster County District Attorney’s Office.  My experience as a prosecutor allows me to understand the inner workings of a prosecutor’s office and negotiate favorable results not only based upon the law and facts of the case, but also with respect to the prosecutor’s mindset.

After leaving the Prosecutor's office, I worked for a litigation firm in York, Pennsylvania.  After two years, I started this firm in the back bedroom of my home.  Since 2010, we have experienced substantial growth.  However, our commitment remains the same.

I am a former police officer, former U.S. Marine, and former prosecutor.  During my career, I have examined thousands of DUI and Criminal cases from every possible angle.  I look for and understand the defenses that are found “between the lines” of a police report.  This experience and specialized knowledge has led to several recent successful outcomes.

As a result, I am able to achieve positive results for our clients in over 92% of the cases we handle.  I cannot guarantee a successful outcome in every case.  However, I have litigated and won in courtrooms throughout Pennsylvania.  As a former police officer and prosecutor, I am often able to achieve positive results without the necessity and expense of trial.

On the first day of my practice, I wrote these words:  "I want to treat my clients as I would expect to be treated.  I want to meet their goals and celebrate their success."   I still believe that should be the guiding principle of this practice.
